Coffee fans, your prayers have been answered, because the Lidl coffee machine of dreams is about to arrive in your local store.
According to research, in the UK we drink a staggering 95 million cups of coffee a day (up from 70 million just 10 years ago) and now the budget supermarket has made whipping them up in the morning a whole lot easier.
Its new machine will give you rich, smooth coffee at the touch of a button, and is even compatible with Nespresso coffee pods, as well as the brand’s own signature Bellarom capsules.
Josie Stone, Head of Non-Food Buying at Lidl said of the new release: ‘At Lidl we’re always looking for new ways to perk up our customers’ day and the Bellarom pod coffee machine is no exception. Customers can enjoy ultra-smooth coffee in an instant, but without the price tag of other brands.’
The machine itself is priced at just £49.99 – around £40 less than a similar model from the market-leading brand – and when combined with Lidl’s own-brand Bellarom pods, which are available in three different intensities and retail at £2.69 for 10, you could enjoy quality coffee at a cost of just 27p per cup.

Plus, if you’re an espresso fan, the machine comes with a small fold-out shelf to accommodate the smaller cups and ensure a fresh, perfectly-prepared brew every time you put it to work.
In need of your next caffeine fix? The Bellarom Pod Coffee Machine is due to arrive ‘in the middle of Lidl’ on Sunday 28 October. However, as with many of these special items, it’s only available while stocks last, so be sure to make a note in your diary, and head to the shop sooner rather than later!
