The dread of winter cold season is enough to terrify even the strongest of immune systems. And while having a cold or the flu can make you feel downright rubbish, it can also take its toll on your physical appearance. From red, dry noses to puffy eyes, there’s plenty of not-so-nice side effects. The good news is that Laura Whitmore seems to have found the ultimate concealer to help hide our winter woes.
Taking to social media, the star announced on Instagram that she had successfully covered up the side effects of her cold using a concealer by The Body Shop.
‘Tonight’s glam @toribmakeup using @thebodyshop cruelty free concealer in 021 to hide my red puffy eyes and sniffly nose,’ she wrote, alongside a picture of her flawless-looking complexion.
The concealer in question must be the Matte Clay Concealer, as it comes in the shade ’21’ (Havana Sand) as Laura explains. It comes in a little pot and is 100% vegan and cruelty free. The formula not only covers imperfections, but also contains tea tree to help clear up any blemishes. It’s therefore super breathable despite having good solid coverage. And undeniably the best bit is that the formula only costs £7 per pot, and because of the high pigment in each one, it lasts for ages.
Luckily for us, the concealer also has a sister foundation for all-over coverage. The Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation costs only £10 and offers a full coverage, matte finish and also features tea tree for skin clearing properties.
Other concealers we love to reach for in desperate times of need include the Bareminerals Complete Coverage Serum Concealer, £23, and the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer, £24; both of which provide high, long-lasting coverage but still feel lightweight.
So if you’re feeling under the weather, we suggest stocking up on the tissues, vitamin C effervescents and some concealer from The Body Shop!
