Kate’s regatta outfit was all from the high street, and you can still shop it

Kate Middleton always knows just how to make a casual high street purchase look a million dollars, and her latest look is a prime example.

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a stylish nautical outfit on Friday as she prepared to go head-to-head against husband Prince William in a major sailing regatta in the Isle of Wight. And while we were excited for the friendly competition, our attention was quickly diverted to Kate’s gorgeous fashion picks.

Ahead of the regatta, the mother-of-three showed up in a pair of trendy L.K.Bennett Blue Parker Trousers and a colourful frilled top by Sandro, which is currently on sale for £81, 40 per cent off its original price of £135.

Her look was completed with dainty heart earrings by Kiki McDonough and her staple pair of Superga trainers. And guess what? The pieces are still available to purchase, and you can recreate Kate’s outfit in its entirety for less than £300.

The combination is great for a casual day look, but can instantly be dressed up for a fancier occasion with a pair of heels and your favourite evening bag. Like Kate, you could also add accessories, but it is safe to say that the top does most of the work with its pop of bold colour and peplum effect.

Kate and William hosted the inaugural regatta The King’s Cup to raise awareness and funds for eight of Their Royal Highnesses’ patronages last week.

The event saw the couple compete against each other as skippers on separate boats, which is why Kate was quick to swap out of her morning look into a more sail-appropriate outfit as she hit the seat, changing into a white polo shirt, navy shorts and a pair of £60 New Balance trainers to match her husband.
