Kate Middleton is a big fan of the high street, but when we saw her sporting a pair of heels that cost a mere £23.99 last year, we were truly shocked and pleasantly surprised. Even by our standards, that’s a bargain.
The shoes in question were a pair of neutral-tones mini heels, which the Duchess opted to wear during her royal tour of Pakistan, along with a traditional blue outfit. Along with Prince William, she was attending a visit to a school in Islamabad when she first wore the stylish pair.
Unsurprisingly, the Kate Effect quickly took hold, and the New Look shoes sold out pretty much instantly, but they’ve been restocked several times since, and, they’ve finally gone into the sale. The Wide Fit Pale Pink Suedette Low Heel Court Shoes are available to buy again on New Look’s website, both in Kate’s blush pink and a second, bolder shade, for less than £17.
After the popularity of Kate’s originals, the pretty nudey-pink option, New Look brought out a more vibrant red version, which are ideal for adding a pop of colour to any outfit.
The shoes are made from a soft ‘suedette’ material, and feature a pointed toe, ankle strap fastening, and low block heel. They also are designed in a wide fit, meaning there is an extra measure across the insole, joint and instep.
New Look’s design are also completely animal free, registered by The Vegan Society, and are also part of the brand’s improved comfort footwear collection, which is a range of styles designed with features such as extra padding, softer linings, and flexibility. In short, they feel just as good as they look.
If you want to get your hands on these shoes, they’re available in sizes 4 to 9, but are sure to sell out pretty soon, so get in there quick – especially at their new price.
