While our own WFH wardrobes are becoming more and more relaxed as the days go by (hello leggings), Kate gave us a lesson in how to perfectly pull off comfy chic dressing this week – and at a totally affordable price, too.
The Kensington Royal Instagram account posted a video last night of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge video calling pupils of Casterton Primary School, which is situated close to Burnkatley General Hospital and therefore has a high number of pupils whose parents are NHS and key workers.
The sweet video shows the royal couple candidly chatting with pupils and teachers, asking them questions like if they were happy to be at school and the pupils showing them portraits they had painted of their parents. The duo passed on their heartfelt thanks to the teachers keeping the school running, with William saying: ‘We just want to say a huge thank you to you guys and well done in keeping it all going and please pass on many messages of support for the staff and all the volunteers, they’re doing a great job.’
‘All the parents who are key workers, to know that their children are, as you’re saying… the normality is there for them and they’ve got the structure and they’ve got a safe place for them to be, so really, really well done and to all of you I know it’s not easy circumstances, but it’s fantastic,’ added Kate.
So lovely. But once they’d watched the adorable conversation, eagle-eyed fans were also quick to spot that Kate’s mustard yellow jumper is a bargain from Zara, seemingly one of Kate’s favourite high street retailers of the moment – she’s also been spotted in £30 culottes from the Spanish retailer recently. It appears Kate is loving high street pieces in general at the moment, having sported that pink M&S suit and a dazzling pair of H&M earrings.
At a purse-friendly £29.99, it’s no wonder the puff sleeve sweater has already sold out, but fear not as you can still get Kate’s stylish and comfy look for yourself with these great similar-looking pieces.
