Whether she’s done up for a royal occasion or dressed down for a casual day of engagements, the Duchess of Cambridge always look immaculate. But naturally, we’re especially inspired by her looks when she’s spotted in high street pieces that we can afford to pick up too.
So you can imagine our delight when Kate stepped out in a cosy roll neck jumper from John Lewis & Partners during a visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday.

Today The Duchess of Cambridge has taken her UK-wide #5BigQuestions survey to Northern Ireland and Scotland, starting with a visit to @TheArkOpenFarm in County Down, Northern Ireland. The #5BigQuestions Survey aims to spark a national conversation on the early years that will ultimately help bring about positive, lasting change for generations to come – visit the link in our bio to fill out the survey. At the farm The Duchess spoke with local parents and grandparents about their experiences of raising young children, and their thoughts on the early years. What we experience in our earliest years – from in the womb to the age of five – is instrumental in shaping our future lives. The Duchess has spent time meeting families across the country and hearing about the issues they face, in addition to speaking with academics, experts, organisations and practitioners. The ‘5 Big Questions on the Under 5s’ survey is designed to bring together the thoughts of as many people as possible – recognising that everyone has a role in ensuring strong, healthy foundations for the youngest in our society that will positively affect their lifelong outcomes. Kate, who was in the area to visit The Ark Open Farm in Newtownards to speak to local parents and grandparents about their experiences of raising young children, was dressed in the retailer’s Pure Collection Roll Neck Cashmere Sweater in ‘Heather Cornflower’ (a soft blue colour), teamed with a pair of black skinny jeans, a Troy London khaki jacket and boots by Penelope Chilvers.
Luckily, the Duchess’s chic roll neck is still in stock, though you’ll have to opt for another colour as you won’t be surprised to hear that the exact one Kate was wearing has since sold out.
Priced at £125, the cashmere piece is available in Blackberry (a deep purple) and Bright Magenta (a brighter, pinker option) in various sizes. So if you want your hands on it, you’ll have to move quickly as we suspect they’ll all be snapped up soon.
This knitwear isn’t the only look from Kate’s wardrobe that has inspired us lately.
Last week, the Duchess stepped out on an official engagement in Wales wearing a cute heart print scarf with a lovely back story. But while the Beulah original (priced at £120) sold out immediately, Phase Eight has dropped a high-street alternative for the piece that’s not only cheaper to begin with, but has now gone down into the sale.
