When two of our favourite style icons wear the exact same thing, you know it’s got to be good, right? Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited local mental health organisations in Wolverhampton. For the occasion, Kate stepped out in a long navy coat, underneath which was a stunning navy and white polka dot blouse.
The 100 per cent silk button-down blouse is by designer Tory Burch and features a scallop-edged collar and cuffs in contrasting white and tiny white ‘Eighties-era’ polka dots against a dark navy background. At £190 (down from £380), the Kate Middleton blouse is still available to buy online at toryburch.co.uk, but sizes are disappearing fast so we’d suggest hurrying if you’d like the royal’s style for yourself.
Now, the eagle-eyed among you might recognise the blouse, and that’s because it’s one Holly Willoughby has also previously worn to present This Morning back in June last year.
Holly handily posted an outfit of the day photo to Instagram as well, so we can see it really is the exact same blouse. Well, if it’s good enough for Holly and Kate…
Both women kept the styling of their Tory Burch blouse simple and classic, with tailored navy trousers and navy court heels. Kate’s smart trousers are from Jigsaw and cost just £39 (in the sale down from £130), however, these have since sold out online.
The Duchess of Cambridge accessorised her look with a dainty pair of gold and pearl hoop earrings, which the internet has, naturally, also gone wild for. They’re from British designer Freya Rose and cost a fairly purse-friendly (for a royal) price of £95.
Thanks to that well-recognised ‘Kate-effect’, the earrings have already sold out, however, they’re available for pre-order, so you can still get your hands on a pair of royally-approved jewellery for yourself.
Now, if you’re still hung up on that polka dot blouse, but the £190 price tag is a bit out of your reach, here are 4 other similar blouses to get your own version of the Kate Middleton blouse for less…
