What do Kate Garraway and Holly Willoughby have in common? Well, topping the list of our favourite ITV presenters aside, the duo appear to have a penchant for the new Laura Ashley fashion line.
Both Kate and Holly have appeared on air in the last seven days wearing heart print dresses from the new Alderney edit, the second capsule collection from the heritage brand.
Kate opted for a pop of colour with a bright red colourway, while Holly kept things a little more subdued with a navy and red design. However, each outfit boasts the same high collar, sheer sleeves and fun, quirky print – they’re ideal for Valentine’s Day, but also versatile dresses to add to your wardrobe all year round.
Laura Ashley describes the Alderney collection as a combination of ‘irresistibly feminine detailing, flattering silhouettes and unmistakably English touches the brand is so loved for.’
And if you love the heart-print designs as much as Holly and Kate do, you’ll be pleased to know both of them are ready to shop on the brand’s website as we type.
Kate’s is slightly more purse-friendly, at £90, while Holly’s retails for £110: making the buys more expensive than some high-street purchases, but still more affordable than other cult maxis from brands like Rixo, Kitri or Ganni.
However, if hearts aren’t your thing, maybe flowers are, in which case you’ll want to take a look at the Archive Garden Dress that’s also part of the Alderney collection. It has all of the same ruffled, romantic charm, albeit with a slightly shorter hemline, and we imagine it’ll leave customers just as smitten.
There are also lace collared jumpers, tortoiseshell jewellery and tailored blouses in the same patterns as the dresses up for grabs as part of the Alderney offering, all equally as perfect for a spring wardrobe update as the last.
No wonder the ladies of morning telly and their stylists are such big fans – perhaps we’re set to see more Laura Ashley looks on our screens from now.
