June reviews – The Garden Party Edit

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Slanted Tweezers:

I didn’t realise what a difference a slanted tweezer would make but these have really impressed me. A seriously cute and effective tweezer that plucks as well as it looks. It offers precision and excellent quality and looks sweet on my dressing table. Tessa Bali

Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy:

Just the best and most immediately absorbent hand cream. Skin takes to it immediately, quenching thirsty skin, whether you put on a tiny amount or a lot. My hands are now so much smoother and look softer and healthier too. Tessa Bali

Simple Kind To Skin Protecting Light Moisturiser • SPF 15

I’ve always loved Simple products; the whole range is perfect for everyday use, and with summer approaching their light moisturiser with SPF is perfect for protecting the skin. The product is lightweight and absorbs easily into the skin without leaving it feeling greasy like some SPFs can. The moisturiser is ever so slightly scented, but the packaging assures you that there are no artificial ingredients or dyes included, so you can be confident that the product won’t upset the skin which is great! A summer essential and a great make-up base too! Brogan Wright

Burts Bees – Tinted Lip Balm: Hibiscus

I’m always on the hunt for a new lip balm and this one is perfect for summer! I find that most lip balms look a certain colour in the tube, but actually come out clear on the lips; this one however has a lovely tint meaning I can wear it instead of a lipstick or lip-gloss, as it provides enough colour with just the right amount of shine. It’s also wonderfully moisturising and has a lovely scent, I’ll definitely be trying the other colours in this range! Brogan Wright

ORGANii SPF 50 Sun Milk Sachet

As an Australian, I have tried and tested many sunscreens in my time due to the amount of time I have spent in the sun, so I was excited to find the ORGANii Sun Milk Sachet in my June YBB box! It is so incredibly important to protect your skin against the sun and with summer right around the corner it’s now the time to find my go-to sunscreen for the season. The formula is quick to absorb and feels fresh on my face and is perfect for all types of skin! Kate Croft

Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Hair Healer Leave-In Conditioner

I am sceptical of leave-in conditioners as they usually leave my hair greasier than pre-wash but I was willing to give this product a try due to the hard water leaving my hair quite dry and brittle. I applied this fabulous smelling conditioner to my washed, wet hair and combed through. Having tested both blow-drying my hair and leaving it to dry naturally, the conditioner did not disappoint. My hair felt healthy, silky and soft and looked great as well! I would highly recommend adding this conditioner to your hair routine, perfect on all hair types (dry, frizzy, flat) – you will not be disappointed. Kate Croft

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion

I trialled Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula as part of a recent mega spring pampering session and it was like the icing on the cake to getting my skin ready for the new season. Not only does it smell like Palmer’s bottled 2 weeks in paradise – a scent that really lingers without being too sweet or sickly – it’s also very quickly absorbed so it’s not left sitting on the skin for ages. I used the formula in the evening and my skin was so soft and hydrated for a full 24 hours. As well as feeling good, my skin (especially the dry patches and some eczema on my legs) looked so much healthier. I will be using this throughout summer. Holly Wadsworth-Hill

AA Skincare Frankincense & Rose Face Toner

I am in my mid-30s and, over the last 18 months or so, I have noticed a very quick decline in my skin’s ability to rehydrate and maintain moisture throughout the day. I know that a big part of this is caffeine consumption and lack of sleep but I also spend a lot of time in front of a screen and on public transport – basically, nothing else is changing so my skincare routine needs to adapt! This toner is a potent blend of super quenching ingredients and leaves skin calm, balanced and refreshed – particularly tired skin like mine. Holly Wadsworth-Hill

NUXE Prodigieux® Shower Oil

This is an absolute Summer essential and I got hooked on it after trying it in our Advent Calendar last year. It’s such a nice product. Not only does it smell amazing but it has a golden shimmer to it which makes your skin look and feel shimmery smooth. A lovely, luxurious product and a great edition for your toiletries bag for Summer holidays. Cassie Hallala

Nails Inc Primrose Street The Reflectors

We’re really pleased to be featuring yet another gorgeous nail polish from Nails Inc this June, especially with such a beautiful pearlescent colour from their new ‘Reflectors’ range. I’m like a magpie with anything shimmery/glittery and I used it for the first-time last week and instantly loved it. It still looks completely intact and as lovely as when I first put it on (6 days and counting)! A perfect shade for Summer too…Cassie Hallala

Merci Handy Refreshing Face Mist *shades may vary ((1) Hello Sunshine (2) Chill Out (3) Flower Power)

I’m not one to take the tube of a morning, I avoid it at all costs so my morning walk is a good 40 minutes which is usually more of a morning run.  Carrying 2 unnecessarily heavy bags and running to work is not always the most flattering look when you get to the office, so these face sprays are a life saver.  Not only do they all smell amazing (there’s not one bad scent!) they are totally refreshing and help my makeup set again ready for a busy day.  With temperatures set to soar for the next few weeks, this is going to be my beauty essential! We Are Tea Glow Tea for skin radiance

I love a health food fad that works and I couldn’t recommend these tea bags more.  They are specially designed to look after your skin from the inside, which we all know is the key to anti-ageing and getting that glow. Developed by nutritionist Amanda Hamilton you know you can trust you’re putting the best natural ingredients into your body to get the best result.  After a week of using the tea bags I could not only feel the difference I could see the difference in my skin.  My skin felt healthier and balanced. I will definitely be using these during the summer months when I’m ditching the makeup more for a more natural summer look. Radox Feel Free Matcha Green Tea & Coconut Water Body Wash

This. Smells. Delicious! Feel free is an exotic blend of matcha green tea and coconut water that instantly gives you a feeling of fresh, positive energy to set you off for the day. Showering should be enjoyable and relaxing and leave you smelling good. The Radox 12H Scent Touch is their new body wash range that contains fragrance technology to provide a long-lasting fragrance. Don’t miss your chance to try it this month. Charlotte Ashton

Kitsch Secret Garden Hair Ties

I take a lot of exercise whether it’s netball, gym, walking around London etc, so I’m always throwing my hair up and down. These Kitsch hair ties are a great new find because they’re so gentle on the hair, they’re crease-free and, they’re so pretty! With a few festivals coming up this summer, these will be a staple in my bag. Charlotte Ashton
