Beauty events might not quite look the same as they did twelve months ago, but in the case of the John Lewis Virtual Beauty Weekend, at least, it would appear that they’re just as popular as ever.
Following the sellout success of the inaugural weekend back in July, which saw tickets disappear in the blink of an eye, John Lewis has announced another star-studded line-up of some of the biggest names in the fashion and beauty industry right now – including YOU Magazine’s very own Jo Elvin.
Jo will be joined by Strictly‘s Claudia Winkleman for an in-coversation with appointment discussing their ‘Beauty Lessons, Laughs and Loves’, and that’s just the beginning of what John Lewis has in store over the course of the four-day celebration.
From the comfort of your own home, you can enjoy ‘Skincare surgeries’ with beauty journalists Funmi Fetto and Sarah Jossel, learn new season make-up tips and tricks from celebrity makeup artists Ruby Hammer MBE and Caroline Barnes, and watch the pros at Dior, Elemis, Mac, Clarins and GHD work their magic to pick up even more tips and tricks.
The weekend will also mark the launch of John Lewis’ first ever Beauty Box collaboration with leading make-up artist Hannah Martin (the woman behind Princess Eugenie’s flawless wedding make-up, FYI). The set will be exclusive to my John Lewis members, and boasts five full-size products and two deluxe minis handpicked by Hannah herself – expect to find the likes of Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown, Mac, and Nars. Worth £170 but selling for £95, we predict an instant sellout.
Want to get involved? The next John Lewis Virtual Beauty Weekend is taking place from 1-4th October, with tickets going on sale on 11 September (and likely to go fast). There are two tiers to choose from: a Gold Ticket (£30), which includes an event ticket and a goody bag worth over £140, and a Silver Ticket (£18) which includes only the event ticket.
You’ll need to be a John Lewis member (if you’re not already, sign up here) to purchase tickets to your chosen events from 11 September – we’ll see you in the (virtual) queue!
