It may not even be Christmas yet, but in the world of retail, big names like John Lewis & Partners are already looking towards next year’s collections. In fact, the department store has just announced a major designer collaboration that’s got the fashion world very excited, even though it won’t drop until 2020.
The brand JL’s brought on board? Mother of Pearl, the sustainable label that’s known for its stunning array of classic yet contemporary pieces that don’t cost the earth, in any sense of the saying.
Already stocked through sites like Net-A-Porter and in high-end shops like Harrods, the John Lewis partnership marks the first time Mother of Pearl’s designs will be available to buy on the British high street.
From fabric sourcing to manufacturing, the brands have worked together to ‘navigate the complex fashion industry supply chains and to drive positive change’ – making this the most sustainable offering John Lewis has ever created. Prices start from just £59, for investment buys that are built to last.
Jo Bennett, Head of Buying at John Lewis & Partners, said of the collaboration: ‘We are so proud of this collection, we truly believe there is nothing like this available for women on the high street right now.
‘The partnership felt like a natural fit, both of our brands share similar values and ideals.
