This John Lewis denim jumpsuit had a 1,500-strong waiting list

It’s a year since John Lewis revealed its budget-friendly ANYDAY range, and over two million shoppers have snapped up items from the collection since, making it the retailer’s most successful launch in history.

The ANYDAY range spans homeware and kids clothes, lingerie and outdoor accessories, but women’s fashion has been a mainstay of the collection since last Autumn, and, according to John Lewis, there is one item in particular that has caught shoppers’ attention.

Denim jumpsuit, £48, ANYDAY at John Lewis

The ANYDAY denim jumpsuit was first launched in September 2021, and sold out almost immediately, gaining a waiting list of 1,533 customers keen to know when it would be back. It’s since been restocked, and is currently available in several sizes online, although if you click on ‘check in-store stock’ you’ll be able to find your nearest store with the correct size too.

So what makes this jumpsuit such a hero piece? Firstly there’s the striking simplicity of the design – with a classic collar and slightly tapered leg shape, it achieves a good balance between casual boilersuit and chic all-in-one. We love the oh-so-practical zip, and an added belt which means you can adjust the jumpsuit to fit you just right.

Dark indigo denim has also made a major comeback over recent months, and looks smart, as well as being practical. This jumpsuit is great for dressing up or down; layer over a striped roll-neck and add trainers for a casual look, or team with loafers and a blazer when you want to go dressy.

One of the best things about this jumpsuit – and in keeping with the whole ANYDAY range – is the price point. It costs just £48, which is pretty decent when you consider it’s 100% cotton.

The jumpsuit is not the only product from the ANYDAY range to have received an amazing reaction – a gingham frilled cushion recently flew off the shelves after being showcased by Instagrammers including Alexandra Stedman and Katherine Ormerod.
