The joys of open water swimming have been well-documented, but for those of us a bit too scared of angry swans or hitting a patch of frogspawn to indulge in the delights of the outdoors, we’ve found the next best option: Jo Malone’s latest perfume range.
The collection is inspired by wild swimming, and the natural beauty of the British Isles. This has been translated into five limited-edition scents, each capturing an aquatic experience. They are all available as 30ml colognes (each priced at £56), with a hydrating face mist (£28) and candle (£52) also available in certain fragrances.

Jo Malone wild swimming-inspired perfumes
Inspiration: The crystal waters of a hidden cove, lined with smooth pebbles and trimmed with dainty campion flowers. The freshness of rose ripples with a note of dewy violets and a hint of juicy blackcurrant.
Forest Moss (available as a 30ml cologne)
Inspiration: A ray of sunlight through the towering trees of the forest, leading the way to a secluded river. The green freshness of juniper entwined with the natural scents of earthy geranium and aromatic moss.
Salty Amber (available as a 30ml cologne)
Inspiration: An exhilarating swim at high tide. Sensual notes of amber and patchouli recall the opaque depths of the sea, contrasting with the impression of salty sea water and the energetic freshness of cardamom.
Aqua Lemon (available as a 30ml cologne)
Inspiration: Diving into the bright blue of the open-air pool for a morning swim, a citrus freshness in the air and city sounds in the distance. A refreshing burst of mandarin floats alongside an energising note of spearmint, gently warmed with cedarwood.
Inspiration: Windswept walks along the beach, the air fresh with sea salt and the mineral scent of rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage.
