Jennifer Aniston has used this £5.99 moisturiser since she was 15

Jennifer Aniston is one of those stars who only gets better with age. Having just celebrated her 50th birthday, her flawless complexion is still the envy of the entire YOU office, and she’s just shared a secret that might help us to follow in her footsteps.

Speaking during her recent cover interview for the October beauty interview of InStyle, the former Friends star revealed that the key to her amazing skin is as simple as keeping it hydrated.

‘I think it’s because my mom told me to start moisturising when I turned 15,’ she said. ‘I’ve been using Aveeno since I was a teenager.’ Of course, Jen has since teamed up with the brand to promote its numerous benefits, but it sounds like the affordable product was one she loved well before she was on the payroll.

And she’s not the only one – Aveeno is one of the bestselling moisturisers in the UK, and is known for being a staple for those with irritated or sensitive skin. Daily application after your bath or shower will save your skin from dryness and keep it smooth, supple and nourished, thanks to the properties of its oat-infused formula. And at just £5.99 for 200ml, it won’t break the bank either.

But if you’ve not got a tube to hand, according to Jennifer you can also raid the kitchen cupboards for a quick skin fix: ‘My grandmother, at 98, had the most stunningly soft, gorgeous skin, and she would just put olive oil on her body,’ she added.

The actress’s other top tip was a somewhat more luxe suggestion, recommended to her by close friend and make-up artist to the A-list Jillian Dempsey: a vibrating 24 karat gold bar.

The tool, which Jennifer says ‘feels so damn good to put oil on your face and just roll’, offers the lifting effects of a toning facial massage at home and helps to sculpt the contours of the face. But with a price tag of £185, we’ll probably try the Aveeno first and see how we get on.
