It’s no secret Jennifer Aniston is one of Hollywood’s most breathtaking icons, what with her Californian-kissed, glowing skin, her silky locks and her ever-sparkling eyes.
You can only imagine the excitement then when she revealed her go-to beauty products in a recent interview (hello, copying everything).
Speaking to InStyle US, the 49-year-old actress revealed that the secret to her flawless complexion is regular facials but to create her signature look she relies on only a few products that thankfully won’t break the bank.
Staying loyal to what she knows, she’s actually been using the same product for over a decade.
‘I’ve been using the same [lip] liner for almost 15 years,’ she told the publication before adding, ‘you can mix anything with it.’
The liner in question is Estée Lauder’s Automatic Lip Pencil Duo in Fig which retails for £19. A dusty deep rose with a very slight mocha undertone, it’s the perfect shade if you like a defined but subtle pout.
Back in June, Jennifer’s makeup artist, Jillian Dempsey, actually revealed exactly how she uses lip products on the actress. Sharing a behind-the-scenes image of the star, Jillian revealed that after application, she blots Jennifer’s liner and lipstick, before adding a dusting of loose powder over the top to prevent the make-up from bleeding, smudging or fading.
According to YOU’s beauty director Edwina Ings-Chambers, ‘blotting the lips is a common trick when applying lipstick as it helps to take away excess product thereby making it more even over the mouth and helping it to last longer’.
‘Many of us are used to performing this by almost biting a tissue between our lips –that’s the way most of our mothers showed us – but it’s better to do it as though you’re kissing the paper as this gives a more even finish across the whole lips.’
Jen also disclosed what her go-to mascara of the moment is during her chat with InStyle.
‘Too Faced Better Than Sex is my new favourite,’ she said. Also retailing at £19, it’s collagen-infused formula is said to thicken, lengthen and curl lashes with just one coating.
Little surprise she’s a fan then, right?
