Anyone with a Spotify Premium account is about to become very happy, as the music streaming service has just announced that all Premium subscribers can currently claim themselves a free Google Nest Mini.

Whether it’s background music while we’re working from home, a podcast while we cook or tunes for a party, everything sounds better when it comes through a proper speaker and a free Google Nest Mini sounds like far too good an opportunity to pass up.

The best part is, there’s no hidden catch that’ll cost you – the rules are simple, as long as you have a Spotify Premium account (not just the free version) and live in the UK, you are eligible to claim a Google Nest Mini completely free of charge. Even Family and Duo accounts are eligible, however only the bill-paying person can claim the offer.

And if you’re not already a Premium subscriber, no worries – the offer applies to new sign ups, too. You will however have to hurry though, as the offer is only valid while stocks last, and we predict these will go like hot cakes.
Normally retailing for £49 (although most retailers currently have the speaker at £29), the Google Nest Mini is a smart speaker that you can stream music through from your phone, plus it comes with Google Assistant, the voice activated ‘hands-free help in your home’. This means you can ask it things like what’s the weather, get it to read out the news or recipes and even control your lights.

To claim your free Google Nest Mini, simply head to the Spotify website and link your Google account with your Spotify account. Due to high demand, you’ll likely be asked to just register your interest for the offer for now, then in a few days time you should receive an email with your unique code to redeem your free speaker when one is available.
The Google Nest Mini comes in 4 chic colour ways: coral, chalk, charcoal or sky, however it’s not clear whether you get to choose which colour you receive with the free offer.
While the offer is generally available to all UK-based Spotify Premium customers, there are a few exceptions, such as if you subscribe through a partner (i.e. through a deal via your phone contract), you pay for Spotify Premium with a gift card or if you have already redeemed a smart speaker through a previous Spotify offer.
