Homebase has brought back its sell-out velvet chair in this trendy new print

We’re always looking for ways to spice up our interior style, particularly considering the amount of time we’ve been spending in our own space has increased dramatically this year. Luckily, the high street has been delivering all sorts of bargains this summer, offering ways to make our homes the most stylish they’ve ever been.

The unlikely hero of summer 2020 has to be Homebase, who, despite being best known for DIY, tools, and practical-yet-not-so-chic solutions, has really been serving up some home-wear corkers as of late; the most recent of which is a fashion-forward £70 chair.

Their Dalmatian print chair has caught our attention for all the right reasons, from its irresistible print to the purse-friendly price tag. The print is a new addition to the bestselling ‘Occasional Chair’ design, which offers fans of velvet chairs (which are incredibly in Vogue at present) a chance to own one for a fraction of the price.

Homebase

Occasional Chair – Dalmatian Print, £70, Homebase

In fact, while the Dalmatian print one is just £70, the others in the range are a mere £60, and come in cool colour block options including teal, burned orange, and blush pink.

Velvet chairs are having a moment at present, and other retailers such as Oliver Bonas, Made, and Habitat have all been seeing them fly off the shelves. However, they can certainly set you back a lot, making this Homebase version a true standout.

Dunelm

Isla Velvet Cocktail Chair – Emerald, £139, Dunelm

Dunelm also has a bestselling version, which will set you back £139. It comes in 11 colours and until now, it was perhaps the best value option in shops.

Homebase

Dalmatian & Blush Velvet Cushion, £7, Homebase

The Homebase Dalmatian addition is also a welcome one, as the print is also big at present, even rivalling its more established animal print predecessor. As well as the chair, Homebase is also selling a number of chic Dalmatian-print goodies, from cushions to candles. And unsurprisingly, they’re all being sold at very friendly prices.
