Homebase’s sellout bouclé chair is a dupe of MADE and now back in stock

There have been a few standout styles of furniture this year that have dominated the affordable interiors scene. We wouldn’t be surprised if almost every one of us has eyed up a version of that sellout scalloped velvet chair from various retailers at some point. Rattan has also been in the homeware spotlight, with brands like Urban Outfitters and Poundland launching purse-friendly and stylish pieces.

Another style that’s been a hit with shoppers is bouclé, which is basically yarn with a looped or curled ply. A bit fluffy, if you will. The good news is that Homebase’s sellout bouclé chair is now back in stock online and in-store.

Costing just £70, the chair is a bargain in comparison to similar styles from other brands. The ‘Sean chair’ from Homebase is made of soft faux sheepskin fabric and features solid wood legs.

Sean Boucle Occasional Chair – Cream, £70, Homebase

If you prefer a brighter addition to your interior spaces, the chair is available in a wide selection of colourways: burned orange, dark blush, grey, jungle green, moss green, ochre and teal. Although, these other colours have been designed in a velvet fabric rather than bouclé.

MADE bouclé chair

Topeka Accent Armchair Faux Sheepskin, £179, MADE

The MADE chair is £109 more expensive than the Homebase version but is also available in a black bouclé. The same style of chair comes in green, light grey and dark grey, but in a polyester fabric.

Bouclé is a great way to bring subtle texture into a room. The small size of these chairs means they will fit just about anywhere and can even be kept to the side as extra seating when guests come over. It would look just as lovely in the corner of your bedroom, as it would in the hallway as somewhere to sit while people put their shoes on.

At £70, it’s well worth snapping up before it’s gone again…
