How to get your hands on Holly Willoughby’s £6 foundation

Holly Willoughby always has incredible-looking skin, so naturally we want to know which foundation she uses. Luckily, her make-up artist Patsy O’Neill has given us a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse of her kit.

It turns out she uses Beauty Pie Great Skin Foundation for Holly’s skin. If you’re not familiar with Beauty Pie, it’s a cosmetics club: you sign up and pay £10 a month, but get access to hundreds of luxury products, unbranded and at factory costs. Holly’s Beauty Pie Great Skin Foundation, for instance, is worth £30, but only costs £6.47 for members. Yep, change from a tenner for a high-quality foundation.

Beauty Pie (which was created by Soap & Glory’s Marcia Kilgore) describes the foundation as ‘portable good lighting for your face’. Expect an oil-free, lightweight fluid that gives medium coverage, and is infused with ‘micro-pearls’ that create a soft-focus finish. In her Instagram post, make-up artist Patsy said the product was ‘creamy’ and ‘moves well’. It is also free from parabens and fragrance.

The Great Skin Foundation range comes in 15 shades from Cocobean to Superlight. Helpfully, the Beauty Pie site tells you which undertone each shade has (neutral, warm, pink or yellow), which makes selecting the right shade a little easier. The average user rating on the Beauty Pie site is 4.3 out of 5 stars.

If you’re in the market for a new foundation, Beauty Pie offers another formulations: Incrediblur Instant Retouching Foundation, which is a game-changing pigmented water you shake up before applying to create an ‘invisible’ filter – particularly good if you hate the feel of heavy foundations. Available in the same 15 shades as the Great Skin range, it’s super-affordable if you’re a member – just £3.48 (non-members will pay £24).  You can buy it as a set with a buffing brush included – you’ll definitely need some kind of brush or sponge as it’s too thin and runny for fingers – for £7.40 (non-members pay £52).

With a minimum sign-up period of 3 months (equivalent of £30), even a short-term Beauty Pie membership could save you big time.
