Our wardrobes have had to constantly adapt over the last 12 months, and while it’s been sad watching our blazers, heels and trousers with any kind of structure other than ‘elastic’ continue to gather dust, we have to admit that we’ve relished the opportunity to welcome a little more comfort into our daily attire. So when we spotted the new H&M off-the-shoulder jumper, which launched on the brand’s website this week, it was an instant add-to-basket moment.
The piece has captured our imaginations because it’s the perfect blend of cosy and chic; the soft alpaca wool knit and wide, double-layered top edge mean it’ll keep us warm through the bleak late winter months, but the ribbed cuffs and subtle shoulder detail mean it looks elegant and stylish, as well as snug.
We especially love the fact that it’ll showcase any jewellery we do manage to slip on for our next Zoom call, giving our much-neglected necklaces and earrings a chance to shine and making us feel instantly put together with minimal effort.
Teamed with a broad range of sizes (it runs from an XS to and XXL) and a choice of three colours (grey, cream and a gorgeous inky blue), and we suspect this will be the store’s next sellout.
In fact, despite the fact it’s only just arrived, there’s already the dreaded ‘few pieces left’ notification appearing next to certain options.
Our advice? Snap one up now before the rest of the nation gets wise, and reap the benefits for years to come.
We’ll be tucking ours into our joggers now as we stay at home for yet another national lockdown, but it’ll get a new lease of life over our favourite pair of jeans or satin midi when things are finally allowed to open up again. Now that’s what we call versatility.
