H&M’s latest collection is a floral midi dress lover’s dream come true

For spring, they may not be groundbreaking, but we’re big believers in florals all year round – especially when they’re as gorgeous as H&M’s collab with Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz.

Back in December, H&M unveiled four styles to whet our sartorial appetites as an early ‘pre-drop’, but now the full range has been unveiled, and will be available to shop on from 12 March.

H&M teamed up with the creative after falling in love with her ‘exuberant design, use of colour and exceptional flair for dramatic silhouettes’, all of which have translated beautifully into the high street range.

‘The imprint of Colombia – the rhythm of the salsa dance, the beauty of the elegant orchids and the effortless palm trees dancing in a balmy pink sunset – can be felt in every Johanna Ortiz design,’ says Ortiz.

‘I’m thrilled to be able to infuse this H&M collection with effortless glamour and introduce some Latin American festivity to the H&M customer’s wardrobe. I hope customers wear the pieces barefoot and with a beautiful flower in their hair.’

‘The imprint of Latin America and its uniquely festive atmosphere is something that can be felt in each Johanna Ortiz design, so I’m thrilled that so many women in the world will have a little piece of Colombia in their wardrobes thanks to this collaboration.’

‘Johanna Ortiz has a gift for creating confident, colourful designs that make you want to dance,’ echoes Maria Östblom, Head of womenswear design at H&M.

‘This collection is both a celebration of Colombia’s creative history and craftsmanship and an opportunity to bring Johanna’s signature feminine styles to our customers. The reaction to the pre-drop was very positive, and now the wait is over, we can’t wait to see how our customers will style this exciting collection.’

The pieces will see you through summer weddings, holidays and parties in style, and as you’d expect from H&M, the price points are impressive, starting from £14.99 for a strappy top and £29.99 for some seriously stunning swimwear.

However, as ever, it’s the dresses we’ve got our sights firmly fixed on. Here are the ones we’ll be adding to our baskets on the morning of the launch – if the rest of the world doesn’t beat us to it, that is.
