You know what would really help us work more magic in the kitchen? A Lord Voldemort-themed casserole dish, that’s what. It’s just one of the items available as part of the Harry Potter x Le Creuset collection, allowing fans of J.K. Rowling’s books to combine their love of the wizarding world with cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
The limited-edition collection includes an enchanting mix of enamelled cast iron, stoneware, tools, and textiles each featuring designs inspired by the Wizarding World. It includes Le Creuset’s iconic colours and shapes, adorned with details that draw inspiration from the world of Harry Potter.
Take for example, the signature round casserole dish. In this collection, the iconic cherry red dish features a brass handle in the shape of a lightning bolt, in tribute to Harry Potter’s famous scar.
There’s also a Quidditch-inspired casserole dish with a solid brass Golden Snitch handle, and a rectangular Lord Voldemort casserole dish, with the Dark Mark embossed on the inside (a good way to let your dinner party guests know who they’re dealing with).
We are big fans of the Hogwarts Express kettle, which is as striking as the iconic train that inspired it (it also has a whistling spout, which is very good for pretending you actually live at Hogwarts).
The collection also includes a Dessert Plate Set with Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw plates, plus a mug set, each adorned with the logos of key businesses from the wizarding world, such as Ollivanders, The Three Broomsticks and Gringotts.
The Harry Potter x Le Creuset Collection will be available for purchase in the month of November at Harrods, John Lewis and Selfridges, starting at £32.
“The experience of cooking and sharing a memorable meal with loved ones is pure magic,” says Paul van Zuydam, Owner, Le Creuset. “We are thrilled to team up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to bring that magic to life through an extraordinary collection that combines the adventurous culinary world with the fantastic imaginative Wizarding World. Chefs and Harry Potter fans alike will now be able to express their inner creativity as they transform humble ingredients into spectacular dishes.”
