Visiting the Harrods beauty halls is a luxury experience: and until now, one that has been the privilege of those living in or visiting in the capital.
But now an exciting development has taken place: the high-end department store has revealed that it’s going to be opening smaller standalone boutiques, known as H Beauty stores, in new locations.
For the first time, customers will be able to browse premium brands like Chanel, Dior and Huda Beauty in the Harrods environment, but outside of the Knightsbridge flagship, as well as enjoying services like blow-dries and facials and stopping for refreshments at chic H Beauty coffee-to-cocktail bars.
Excited? There’s more good news – the first H Beauty outlet (set to cover an impressive 23,000sq ft) will open in spring 2020 at intu Lakeside, Essex, so there’s not long to wait. This will then be closely followed by a second location in Milton Keynes.
Annalise Fard, Director of Beauty, says: ‘From the rise of K-Beauty and J-Beauty to personalisation, the ability to express our individuality through beauty today is extraordinary.
‘We are entering an era of true self-expression, empowerment and celebration of identity, and I can’t wait for H beauty to be a destination for beauty lovers to play, explore and try.’
Fard adds that after the success of the opening of the state-of-the-art makeover of the central Harrods beauty hall back in June, it’s now the brand’s mission to bring its offering to more shoppers beyond London.
She continues: ‘This investment demonstrates our belief in the strength of our beauty authority and the opportunities within the beauty industry here in the UK, and represents a major extension to our current beauty business.’
Judging from the images that have been unveiled, the stores will rival the original London hall when it comes to style and substance.
We’ll see you in the queue in April when Harrods hits Lakeside…
