If you’ve ever used Google Flights before, you’ll know that it’s an incredibly useful resource when booking your holiday, and can help you to find the most affordable and suitable options with just a few clicks. Now, Google has taken one step further by developing Google Trips, a website that will allow you to book all aspects of your trip in one place.
The site, which has previously taken form as an app, allows you to use Google’s resources to book a holiday in one place. You will have access to flights, hotels, travel guides and packages all in one.
What’s more, Google Trips will then cleverly log and track everything from your booking receipts and confirmation codes, to your restaurant reservations during your holiday, and a weather report for the dates. Essentially, it will provide a comprehensive itinerary of your entire trip, from the flight there and back, to everything else in between.
Discussing their new new development, Google said:
‘We’re now rolling this [Google Trips] out on desktop as well. You can either go toor search for something like ‘hotels in Tokyo’ or ‘Vancouver’ to find travel information from a variety of sources in one place.’
They continued: ‘When you go to , you can now make edits directly to your trips timeline, and in a few weeks you’ll be able to manually add new reservations as well. Recent searches, saved places and flights you’re tracking are added automatically to your trips when you’re signed into your Google Account. Soon, we’ll add viewed things to do and saved and viewed hotels to your trips.’
The new website unifies all of Google’s travel resources, which were previously available (and on an app), but separately. The fact that everything is in one place, and now available on a desktop screen, makes travel booking a whole lot easier.
As if we needed yet another reason to want to book a holiday…
