If there’s one person’s judgement we know to trust on all things homeware and interiors, it’s Laura Jackson. The broadcaster, journalist and all-round interiors guru already has a number of collaborations under her belt with the likes of Papier and Next, as well as the supper club she founded, Hoste, but today Laura launches her latest venture, Glassette.
Glassette is an online marketplace where you’ll find unique and individual homeware and interiors products from 120 small and independent brands, all curated and hand-selected by Laura’s expert eye. Co-founded alongside homeware buyer Daniel Crow, Glassette wants to encourage people to ‘shop small’, buy consciously from talented makers and celebrate the artistry.
With a range that includes ceramics, glassware, textiles, candles, prints and more, you can shop the digital space by product, room or brand, and you’ll find wares from the likes of By Otter, Hot Pottery, Late Afternoon, Artemis Deco and so many more amazingly creative brands, many of which are exclusive to the site.
‘The last 18 months saw us all turning our kitchen tables into restaurants, our bathrooms into spas and our tiny gardens into holiday destinations,’ said Laura. ‘Many of us rediscovered the joy in setting the table for dinner and the ceremonious feeling of fresh sheets on the bed… our homes and how they make us feel have never been so important.
‘I wanted to create a digital treasure trove full of beautifully designed, consciously crafted pieces that really bring me joy. After years of scrolling the internet for new homeware gems, I’m so excited to give all my favourite discoveries a home for others to uncover.’
A place to shop your favourite small brands while also discovering new ones, we particularly love the wishlist function, which is the perfect way to (un)subtly hint gift ideas to friends and family. You can also expect a monthly limited edition collaboration between Laura and the talented makers from the site – the first of which will launch in December with a set of wine glasses.
To get you started on your Glassette journey, we’ve picked out a few of our favourite pieces we spied when scrolling the website this morning…
