Millennial pink is over – there’s a new pink in town, and it’s altogether bolder, brasher and bouncing with exuberant summer attitude. Many fashion editors are calling this the shade of the season, and we’re inclined to agree, as top designers and A-list celebrities work hot pink for 2022.
If you haven’t heard of Barbiecore – the trend for all things pink, playful and well, Barbie – then listen up, because despite the Barbie film not being released until next summer, it’s already having an influence on our wardrobes.

Take Anne Hathaway, who recently attended a (very pink) Valentino show wearing a striking fuchsia outfit. TV presenter Laura Whitmore, meanwhile, has been matching her pink hair to her pink dress – certainly a thorough way to embrace the trend, if you’re willing to try it.
Of course, you don’t need to go quite so full-on (or dress like a Barbie) to enjoy the punchy pink revival. Fuchsia is having a moment on the high street via a number of highly-wearable pieces, from dresses and skirts, to tailored trousers and bags. Here are some of our favourite pink picks to give your wardrobe the wow factor.
