The Blue Light Card scheme provides NHS, emergency services and social care workers with discounts at thousands of national and local retailers, from Cineworld to EE to Halfords, to name a few. Now, they are launching Blue Light Tickets, which will provide these essential workers with the first chance to claim free tickets to sporting events, musical events, leisure days out and more. Tourist attractions including Thorpe Park and Madame Tussauds have already pledged tickets, as have many football clubs and live events such as Grand Designs Live.

Access Sport x Bikeworks
The charity Access Sport has teamed up with Bikeworks to launch a bike loan scheme for NHS workers on the frontline of COVID-19, providing them with a safer way to travel to work during the pandemic. The initiative is also offering helmets and 1:1 route planning to facilitate a safe commute for NHS workers during this challenging time.
The scheme is currently running at Royal London Hospital in Tower Hamlets and Goodmayes Hospital in Ilford, with Access Sport looking to extend the offering to as many hospital trusts as possible and are welcoming any trusts to get in touch directly in order to discuss further. NHS staff can get involved with the scheme directly through their hospital’s communication scheme.
