Shopping for swimwear is tricky, but shopping for affordable swimwear is even trickier. That’s why when see a piece experiencing a spike in sales and carrying an amazing price tag, we always sit up and take note.
Speaking to you.co.uk, a representative for F&F, Tesco’s own fashion line, which is also stocked at Next, has revealed that one of its £12 swimsuits is zooming out of stores at a record rate, with 4,000 people already adding one to their trolleys.
The one-piece in question has a classic shape, with a simple round neck and high leg for a flattering – and comfortable – fit.
It also, of course, comes the print of the season, leopard – and taking a walk on the wild side is proving popular amongst supermarket shoppers across the entire range, with 6,000 items of swimwear in various animal prints, including zebra, snapped up in recent weeks.
However, summer trends aside, there’s also a major price draw happening here: at just £12, this is one of the lowest-priced cossies we’ve seen on the shelves, meaning you can add it to your holiday wardrobe at the fraction of the cost of many similar higher-end styles.
‘We are 36 per cent cheaper than other retailers on our core shaping illusion swimsuit and 39 per cent on our printed styles,’ the F&F spokesperson adds. The size range is also good, spanning 6-22.
Plus, you don’t just have to limit yourself to a dip in the pool when you’re wearing the suit – it’s pretty enough to be used as daywear, so tuck it into a skirt or layer it under a relaxed beach dress and it’ll take you from beach to bar and back again.
And if you don’t live near a Tesco? Fear not: the swimsuit is available online via Next, at the same purse-friendly price tag, and it’s still in stock in all sizes. Happy sunbathing!
