Details of the latest James Bond film has been announced this week. If you are wondering who will be starring in the popular spy film, well we’ve got you covered!

The cast and team behind the epic film were announced at a launch event in Jamaica, with Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge confirmed as one of the writers.

Who will play James Bond?

This probably won’t come as a shock but Daniel Craig will return yet again to play the devilishly handsome 007 agent. Bond25 will be the last film where the 51-year-old will play James Bond since 2005.

Who is the villain?

American actor Rami Malek is set to portrayal the villain in the 25th official James Bond film.

Rami made headlines last year after doing an astonishing job playing Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Details about his role haven’t yet been confirmed but the official plot summary states ‘a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology’.

The 37-year-old actually wasn’t at the official launch on Thursday, however, he kindly sent a video message verifying he will play the villain.

‘I’m stuck here in New York in production but I’m very much looking forward to joining the whole cast and crew,’ he said.

‘I will be making sure Mr Bond does not have an easy ride in this, his 25th outing. See you all soon.’

Who will be the next Bond Girl?

The Bond girl(s) are beautiful love interest or female sidekick of James Bond. In the latest Bond film, Spectre 2015 Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydoux played the M16 trusty aside.

Lea is believed to be reprising her Madeleine Swann character. Details of any other Bond girls haven’t been confirmed just yet.

Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes are expected to come back Q and M, with Naomie Harris will return as Moneypenny.

Who is writing the theme song?

The latest Bond song ‘Writing’s on the Wall’ was by pop star Sam Smith, he also performed it for the film.

There are no leads on who is writing the latest Bond song but Dupa Lipa said last year that she would ‘love to do it’ and Ed Sheeran has said he ha written a Bond theme despite no one asking him too.

When is the film coming out?

The latest Bond film is set to hit cinemas next April.
