Estée Lauder’s Double Wear foundation is one of the most (if not the most) popular foundations in the world.
Having reached cult status over the years, the popular product consistently flies off the shelves all thanks to its smooth, liquid formula, which covers even the most stubborn of blemishes and is available in 54 shades.
In fact, it’s very rare to hear bad feedback from anyone who has used Double Wear, which is why it comes as no surprise that it is officially the number one foundation in the UK right now. And if you’re a fan already, you’ll be very pleased to hear that the brand will soon be launching in a brand new powder version too.
Estée Lauder is preparing for the launch of the Stay-In-Place Matte Powder Foundation SPF10, which is set to make application easier than ever before. The new powder has been created to provide sweat, water, and humidity-resistant coverage and can be worn wet, dry or simply as the finishing powder to set off your overall make-up look; we’re thinking it’ll be a summer saviour to keep us looking matte and fresh when the temperatures soar.
The powder product will be available in 43 shades which is slightly less than the original, but will still cover a wide variety of skin tones. It will also be more expensive than the foundation (which is retailed for £33.50) at the price of £36.
However, that three pound difference could well be worth it if you prefer a powder consistency – plus, it comes complete with a sponge applicator, making it quick and simple to apply.
Estée Lauder Double Wear powder foundation will officially launch on Monday 18 February but judging by how popular the original is, stocks could very well shift quickly. Let’s hope the brand has prepared enough supply for the inevitable demand.
