What a difference a year makes. 12 months ago, Emma Willis launched her first fashion collection with Next, and now after multiple capsule collection spanning everything from jewellery to lingerie and even sportswear, she’s come full circle with a second complete spring summer range that’ll break you out of any wardrobe rut.
Consider this your edit for coming out of hibernation: gone are the chic neutral tones of her winter offering, and instead they’re replaced with bursts of cornflower blue, tomato red and leopard print, tempered with softer ecrus and navys. The result is a more playful but still tailored feel that will work just as well on your next holiday as it will for everyday wear.
‘I would say my favourite pieces in this collection are surprisingly all the dresses,’ says Emma. ‘I honestly think we’ve nailed it. They’re really easy to wear, really versatile, you can wear them to work or out to drinks, they cover up in all the right places. I am for the first time in my life saying that dresses are my favourite bit.’
As for what Emma’s learned from her year behind the scenes in design? ‘Go out of your comfort zone a little bit, try different shapes and new styles that you wouldn’t necessarily go for,’ she advises. After all, something you’re not sure of on the hanger could become your new favourite go-to outfit – shop now, and wear all summer long…
