Missing your Christmas tree? Fear not, there’s another seasonally-approved version you can put up this spring which will bring just as much joy to your living room. Introducing: the Easter tree.
That’s right, Easter trees are a thing and if you haven’t heard of them before then you’re forgiven. The tradition actually stems from Germany and has also been celebrated in Scandinavian countries for centuries, but hasn’t really reached our shores on much of a scale – until now.
What is an Easter tree?
Just like at Christmas, it involves decorating the branches of a tree – only these trees aren’t made of pine and you won’t be needing any baubles either. Instead, you take your pick of minimalist mini trees (or even a selection of tree branches) and decorate them with painted eggs and spring flowers.
The trend has slowly made its way over to the UK and is set to become even bigger this year, with everyone getting an Easter tree of their own whether it’s simply for a bit of spring decor or as a fun activity to get you and the family in the holiday spirit in the lead up to Easter.
So, if you’d like to get involved this year, here are some great Easter tree options…
