Over the years, we’ve all been educated on the importance of self-care and wellness which has resulted in many of us being much kinder to ourselves. Ever wondered how you could ensure your furry friends get all the R&R they need too? Well, we may have found the answer. Introducing: the dog spa.

That’s right, special spas that cater to dogs are now a thing in the UK with more and more owners treating their beloved pets to a day of pampering. Spa hotel booking website SpaSeekers has revealed that more and more spas are allowing dogs to accompany guests after being inundated with requests in the past 12 months. But that’s not all.

Not only are these spas dog-friendly but many offer special animal treatments for them too, meaning they won’t just have to tag along and watch their owners have all the fun. According to SpaSeekers, one of the first spas to embrace the new trend is the Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa in Derbyshire.

The four-star accommodation offers a ‘Pampered Pooch Experience’ in partnership with Georgina’s Pet Sitting Service which allows dog owners and their pets to enjoy a spa day together. The dog-friendly spa experience comes complete with spa lounging for you and your fluffy companion, an exercise walk on the beautiful grounds, lavish shampoo massage bubble bath to help soothe and relax muscles, a pedicure and paw soak, with a deep paw moisturising balm, ear cleanse and a fragrance cologne finish.

Once you’ve indulged in all of the relaxation on offer, enjoy a afternoon tea including organic dog biscuits and earl greyhound tea.
