If you’re a fan of Dior’s long-wearing Forever Foundation, you’re going to love this – the brand has just launched a concealer version of the base to wear either with it or on its own. Even if you’ve never tried Dior’s cult 24 hour-wear foundation before, if you’re constantly chasing that dewy, glowy look (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), this concealer is one for you.
It’s a creamy, moisturising concealer that boasts a sheer yet buildable formula and is available in 30 different shades. Although £25, it’s a little pricier than some other concealers on the market, Dior’s Forever Skin Correct concealer is not just make-up, it’s skincare too.
While it’s perfect for covering up imperfections and dark circles, the addition of wild pansy extract, which is also present in Dior’s Forever Foundation and the Forever Skin Glow, helps boost hydration of the skin, too, smoothing skin progressively over continued use.
The wide range of shades mean the concealer can be used in a variety of ways, too. Use it after applying foundation to give an extra layer of coverage for any blemishes, redness, dark spots or under-eye circles.
Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, says: ‘Forever Skin Correct is applied after blending the Dior Forever fluid foundation, focusing on areas that need additional correction: undereye circles, localised redness, imperfections. Applied with the applicator, it can be blended with fingers or a brush.’
Enhance the eye area by applying the Forever Skin Correct concealer to the eyelid, beneath the brow bone and on the inner and outer corner of the eyes – this will brighten and open up the eye.
Using the concealer in a shade one or two tones lighter than your foundation means you can use it as a highlighter, too – just apply it under the eye, in the dip of the chin, your cupids bow, the bridge of the nose and tops of your cheekbones.
In the same way, take the Forever Skin Correct one or two shades darker than your foundation and use it to contour the face – apply it to the side of the forehead, sides of the nose and underneath your cheekbones for a defined look.
