Known for her love of fitness, it’s perhaps no surprise that Davina McCall has decided to create an activewear collection. Joining forces with JD Williams, the retailer for which she is an ambassador, Davina has designed a sportswear range that’s suitable for all – and with perfect timing for our January fitness reboot.
With sizing ranging from 8 up to 26, this collection is definitely one of the more inclusive activewear ranges out there, and includes high performance clothing as well as leisurewear and fitness equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells and even a folding stationary bike. Basically there’s everything you need to get started on your new year fitness kick – and keep it going all year.
Launching in two drops (the first lot is already available to shop online), the 30-piece collection prioritises quality, value and superior fit. The high-quality compressing fabric can ‘endure the deepest of squats and a range of dynamic and explosive movement patterns to stand the test of time,’ so you can workout in total confidence.
Other design features includes moisture-wicking fabrics that offer day-long dryness and comfort and reflective detailing for if you decide to wear the pieces outside for a run, for example. What’s even better, is that 80 per cent of the range is made using recycled polyester yarn, making it a more sustainable choice, too.
Going back to the range’s inclusivity credentials, not only is the clothing offered in a wide range of sizes, it’s fitted with simple adjustments that ‘ensure that all “grown up” bodies get the best performance out of the pieces,’ such as thicker straps added to large sizes to offer extra support.
Davina McCall said of her activewear range: ‘The collection is not only super cool and stylish but also has every function us women need from activewear. We deserve a comfortable fit, perfect for all shapes and sizes, extra support for our wobbly bits, high quality fabrics and even functional fabric that works with you as you work out.’
