Yep, the posh new beverage is a signature mixer for rum, whisky and bourbon and is set to be even more of a perfect pairing for each of the dark spirits than ordinary coke.

The new drinks come in four different flavours –  Smoky, Spicy, Herbal and Woody. We know, they all sounds delicious. Especially when we picture them in a cocktail.

Launching in June, the revamped cokes – which have been created in collaboration with  mixologists Antonio Naranjo, Max Venning, A Chia & P Guy, and Alex Lawrence – have also been given a completely new design which looks a lot edgier than your regular can or bottle. In fact, the brand has rolled out the red carpet for the new launch by bringing back Hutchinson glass bottles, which they first used back in 1894 as reported in The Independent.

‘Coca-Cola has always had a synergy with dark spirits and classic cocktails, from the inception of the iconic Cuba Libre in the late 1900s to the popular Whiskey & Coke in the early 20th century,’ said senior brand manager at Coca-Cola, Ana Amura.

‘With the rise of mixed drinks, we’re excited to announce the launch of Coca-Cola Signature Mixers, a specific range uniquely created to mix with dark spirits.

Working with an inspirational group of global mixologists to create amazing flavour combinations, we hope Coca-Cola Signature Mixers open up the world of mixology to an even wider audience.’

In the process of creating the Signature Mixers, the brand experimented with over 200 ingredients before eventually deciding on the end product which includes quirky ingredients such as rosemary, jasmine, ambrette seed and lemongrass.
