Coach has launched an exclusive archival-inspired collection at John Lewis

There is nothing quite like an exclusive capsule collection to get us excited and so when we heard that Coach was launching a ‘Coach Originals’ collection, exclusive to John Lewis our interest was more than just piqued.

Coach x John Lewis

The Coach Originals collection consists of archival-inspired bags that celebrate the brand’s legacy and authentic New York heritage because some designs are just too good to leave in the archives.

Including exclusive bags influenced by classic silhouettes and inspired by the iconic designs of Coach’s first-ever creative director, Bonnie Cashin, the collection has been reimagined for now by Coach’s current creative director, Stuart Vevers.

There are three designs in the Coach Originals collection and each design comes in four colourways; Flax, Black, Pine Green and Chalk.

Coach Rambler Leather Cross Body Bag, £295, John Lewis

A modern nod to an iconic 1967 Coach collection, the Rambler Crossbody is crafted from glove-tanned leather and finished with the brand’s iconic turn-lock closure.

Coach Rambler 16 Leather Cross Body Bag, £195, John Lewis

Like the Rambler above, this is a modern nod to an iconic 1967 Coach collection but a little smaller in size. Don’t be fooled though, the open compartment design still has space for an iPad mini, interior pockets to secure valuables, convenient exterior slip pockets and an adjustable strap.

Coach Willis 18 Leather Top Handle Bag, £250, John Lewis

This top handle design is a structured everyday bag based on an iconic Coach silhouette introduced in the 1990s. Featuring the same dowel frame that made the original a favourite, the compact 18 is crafted from the brand’s buttery soft glove-tanned leather and secures with a turn-lock closure. Carry by the top handle or attach the strap and wear it crossbody.
