Few jewellery collections are more covetable than that of the Duchess of Cambridge – and luckily for us, Kate often favours demi-fine brands like Missoma, which our budget is far more likely to stretch to (especially when they’re running a great Black Friday deal).
However, for her latest virtual appearance, showcasing some of the entries to her Hold Still photography competition, the mum-of-three chose a ‘nugget’ charm-adorned design from British designer Alex Monroe, who is known for using nature-inspired imagery (including the ever popular bee pendant).
Alex Monroe describes the piece as ‘a charm necklace detailed with fossilised nuggets etched with botanicals, animals and Alex’s iconic bumblebee’, noting that it’s part of the brand’s Natural History Museum collection – a fitting tribute from Kate, who has been a patron of the organisation since 2013.
Priced at £360, the Paleontology Nugget Necklace is still a far more accessible option than much of the royal’s accessory collection, but for many of us, may fall outside of budget even for a duchess-approved gem.
So with this in mind, we’ve scoured the high street and the websites of our favourite affordable jewellery brands to find seven similar designs that will help you to get the Kate look for less.
