We know it might not quite feel like sandal weather just yet, but stay with us here, because there’s a certain sandal style that everyone’s wearing this summer and you’ll need to be quick to get in on the act.
Chanel’s super chunky, strappy, ‘dad’ sandals have been spotted on the feet of every influencer worth their salt since last summer. The trend is still going strong for summer 2021, meaning there are thankfully now many dupes that can be found on the high street (for much, much less money than Chanel are asking for in return for a pair of theirs).
Dune was the first high street brand to bring out a copycat version of the comfortable, velcro-ed sandals last summer, which sold out so fast they attracted a waitlist of more than 800 people. Every time they’re restocked they fly off the shelves in every colourway available (there are now eight styles to choose from, including black quilted, Chanel-inspired tweed and metallic silver), but they are currently back in stock online and at a discounted price, too.
Mango also has two varieties, a black quilted pair and a denim quilted pair; both are dead ringers for Chanel’s, bar the lack of the double C logo, of course, but we can make peace with that.
As for the rest of the high street, you can find Chanel sandal dupes at New Look, NA-KD, Arket, & Other Stories, Stradivarius and Pull & Bear, to name a few. To save you the scrolling, we’ve found 9 of the best dupes starting from £22 and rounded them up for you below…
