Catherine Zeta-Jones is often credited as being one of the world’s most beautiful women, and it’s not hard to see why. The stunning actress is known for her roles in films such as Chicago, America’s Sweethearts, and of course her breakout role as Elena in The Mask of Zorro. Zeta-Jones always manages to look flawless whether behind the camera or just out and about in everyday life, and she’s now revealed some of her favourite skincare tips for maintaining that youthful glow — one of which costs a thrifty £28.
The actress credits the bestselling Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream as the secret behind her great skin, which she revealed to her followers earlier this year during a Q&A on her Instagram page during lockdown. This is not the first time Catherine has publicly applauded the cream — in fact, way back in 2010, she told Vogue Australia that she has been using the product since she was a child.
‘My mother was putting Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant on me, and the smell is so familiar,’ she told the publication.
The news is somewhat unsurprising given that Catherine has been a spokesperson for the brand for many years now. But that doesn’t take away from the cult status that Eight Hour Cream has; in fact, it’s a bestseller in its own right.
The product has nearly 500 5-star reviews on Boots’ website, and is praised for its ability to do it all: give skin a healthy glow, restore chapped lips, and even heal and soothe cuts and grazes.
As well as the hit product, Catherine also shared some other skincare tips and tricks she follows during the Q&A. For example, she said she ‘work[s] a lot with essential oils,’ and mixes her own. She also exfoliates every day, ‘’to counteract the greasiness of the oils.’ ‘So with a very mild exfoliating cream or a gel just to buff off those dead skin cells and then lather up with some great oils,’ she explained.
And of course, like all self-respecting skincare mavens, Zeta-Jones revealed her number one pick for her skin is sunscreen. ‘Really, it’s getting brutal out there and we have to protect our skin,’ she said.
