Carol Vordeman is a woman with style and there’s simply no refuting it. In fact, her latest look has cemented her role as one of our favourite outfit inspirations.
The 58-year-old star, who was stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV breakfast show Lorraine, wore a gorgeous pair of sparkly silver trousers to kick off the weekend on Friday morning’s show and we’re simply obsessed with them.
The standout trousers are by none other than high street favourite Zara, and retail for just £29.99 – which if you ask us, is a small price to pay for such a glam look.
Carol opted for a more dressed down, work-appropriate vibe when wearing her pair by teaming the sequinned culottes with a simple white shirt and a subtle pair of nude pointed heels.
However, those who like to go all out with the sequins will be pleased to hear that the trousers, which feature a high waist and wide leg design, also have a matching blazer, which you can instantly throw on for more of a statement. We’d perhaps save the full combination for a Saturday night as opposed to a regular day at the office – although, of course, it depends on where you work…
In the past, Carol has been vocal about her belief that women should wear whatever they want. Speaking to HELLO! she once said: ‘If you want to wear a miniskirt, you go girl! Just do it. I wouldn’t wear a miniskirt now because my legs aren’t what they used to be ten years ago, but it’s whatever you’re psychologically comfortable with.’
She added: ‘Just make sure you don’t push the boundary with what you wear just because that’s what fashion dictates.’
And on that note, we’re off to get our hands on the sparkly suit!
