The Cadbury Secret Santa service to send a free bar of chocolate is now open

2020 has been a tricky old year, and so as Christmas approaches, we’re all thinking of the gestures we can make to show our loved ones how much we care for them, even if we might not get to see them in person.

You might already have looked into letterbox gifts and care packages that you can post to them directly, but the latest option to add to your list? Taking part in the Cadbury Secret Santa scheme, which will enable you to send a bar of chocolate to your nearest and dearest this December totally free of charge. No, really!

All you have to do is head to the Cadbury Secret Santa website when the brand’s Postal Service officially opens, and fill out your details and those of your recipient so that Cadbury can send out the bar. You can even choose the flavour of bar you know they love best, from classic Dairy Milk to Caramel, Oreo or Fruit & Nut.

Paola Cassinelli, Senior Brand Manager for Cadbury Christmas explains of the generous move: ‘It’s been a particularly tough year for many which is why we felt it was more important than ever to bring back our activation and let people secretly give to both to those they know and love, and to those who might really appreciate a small treat this Christmas.’

As she notes, the Secret Santa programme has run previously, but for 2020 there’s an extra particularly thoughtful charitable angle – when you send chocolate secretly through the Postal Service to a friend or family member, Cadbury will also donate a second bar on your behalf to a food bank in the Trussell Trust network.
