A shoe collection inspired by Bridgerton is coming soon

Bridgerton was one of 2021’s biggest TV phenomenons, popular for everything from its plot lines to Regé-Jean Page’s lead character who made us all swoon. The series — produced by Shondaland — arrived at just the right time this year, when we were all in the peak of a new lockdown and needed some escapism.

Another reason Bridgerton is so beloved is because of the aesthetics; the ‘regency core’ trend has been popular ever since the show hit our screens and has influenced everything from our interior style to our wardrobes. So it comes as no surprise that Bridgerton-esque pieces are on the rise, and now, a shoe collection inspired by the Netflix hit is even set to launch.

Designer Malone Souliers is collaborating with Bridgerton to create a 15-piece shoe collection due to launch in 2022. While so far we don’t know much about what the designs will look like, they’re sure to be an interesting fusion of tradition and modernity, as Malone Souliers is known for eclectic, fashion-forward pieces.

‘I’m a huge fan of Bridgerton,’ said Mary Alice Malone, creative director and founder of Malone Souliers. ‘It revisits the past with a sense of revolution and joy, which is exactly how I approach shoemaking. This partnership has been fascinating from a design perspective, allowing us to embrace the pomp and unabashed splendour of Regency fashion. But it also has felt like such a natural fit. I’m always inspired by the creative possibilities we can find in our past, but, also, the importance of always being innovative and daring in my work.’

‘Fans can expect intricate jacquards, shimmering satins, dramatic feathered plumes and ball-worthy embellishments, in styles for both men and women,’ she also told Forbes.

This shoe collection follows in the footsteps (no pun intended) of Hill House’s gorgeous Bridgeton-inspired dresses, which sold out instantly. Some of the hoodies and a beautiful hair clip are still available to buy now.
