With less than 100 days to go until the big day, the Christmas countdown is officially on – and that means stores across the high street are already beginning to unveil their festive collections.
First Marks & Spencer gave us a preview of the delicious treats we’ll be tucking into at the dinner table and beyond, and now Boots has revealed its top 10 beauty gifts for 2019. And if you find one of these under the tree, trust us when you say you will not be disappointed.
Boots has introduced an impressive 36 new beauty lines this year, along with branching out into wellness and even sexual wellbeing, so it’s no surprise that there really is something for everyone in this year’s list, and the brands included make for a seriously stellar line-up.
Options range from old favourites like Soap and Glory and Liz Earle to cult new offerings like Morphe, Fenty and Florence by Mills, the new launch from Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, plus one of YOU beauty director Edwina’s top fragrance picks for the season.
Liz Hewitt, senior buyer for Boots UK, said of the top 10 for 2019: ‘This year, we’re bringing you the latest products from the most-wanted brands, including the introduction of wellness gifts too.
‘Our seasonal team scour the globe for inspiration for our festive ranges to make sure we’re tapping into the latest trends, from prints to packaging and the products themselves, to create gifts we know you’ll love.’
Advantage cards at the ready: here’s everything you need to know.

Make-up lovers, this is all of your neutral palette dreams brought to life. These wearable shades go on effortlessly for a daytime look, and can be built and blended for serious evening glam.
Fearne has teamed up with Boots to create a collection that taps into the latest mindfulness trends. The products inside are calming and nourishing, while the doodle pad packaging can be used for colouring.
Rihanna’s Fenty beauty line has been in huge demand since it arrived at Boots earlier this year. These magnetic sticks are one of the highlights, literally – they conceal, contour and add glow where you want it, and there’s a kit for every complexion too.
This iridescent purple peel-off formula combines charcoal to draw out dirt and oil, witch hazel to shrink pores and lavender oil to soothe. Great for your kids, niece or nephew, or younger friends of the family (but equally great added to your own stash too).
Described as a ‘grand floral’ perfume, YSL’s latest launch won’t fail to impress. Inside the luxe packaging is a blend of heady orange blossom, aromatic lavender and neroli for a masculine touch.
Liz Earle’s skincare is a staple for many celebs (just ask Holly Willoughby) and with good reason. This 3-step routine makes a great introduction, or top up for recipients who are already fans. You also get a bonus Superskin Superlip balm in each box.
If you only buy one beauty advent calendar this year, make it this – in addition to being crammed full of goodies from names like Champneys, Botanics, Sleek and Soap & Glory, £2 from each purchase goes directly to charity.
Boots say this box is designed to ‘supercharge your skin with a unique complex of anti-ageing technologies that repair, enhance and protect’. Considering how quickly new launches from the line sell out, we wouldn’t be surprised if this followed suit.
Just when you thought Soap & Glory couldn’t get any better, it teams up with Wonderwoman for the coolest kit in years. Inside you’ll get a set of five pampering products, including a Righteous Butter and fun bath fizzer.
Kiss The Moon champions a natural approach, which is why this facial oil harnesses the power of aromatherapy oils like jasmine, chamomile, ylang yang and sandalwood. Beauty sleep in a bottle.
