Finding the right pair of glasses is difficult. Not only do you have to get the correct prescription but with the endless frame options, it can be overwhelming to pick a pair that suit you. And sometimes, that’s enough to put us off.
New research by Boots Opticians has revealed that half of women in the UK avoid wearing glasses because they either feel self-conscious with them, or simply find it too hard to find the pair to suit them.
However, to make things a lot easier for us the popular high street retailer will be giving away free glasses next Monday, March 11. No, this is not a drill.
In an initiative called Frame Amnesty, 15 selected Boots stores across the country will allow customers to come in with their current frames, regardless of the brand they were purchased from, and swap them for a new pair of their choice. All you have to do in return is have an eye test, which is also completely free on the day.
According to Stylist, the initiative comes after the research conducted by Boots also found that four million women in the UK haven’t had their eyes tested in five years or more. So if you’re one of them, why not take advantage of the free offer?
All you have to do is book an appointment, which customers will be able to do from Thursday morning (7 March), and visit any of the below stores. All appointments will be allocated on first come first served basis, so make sure you get in there early.
