Everything in Boots new collagen skincare range is currently under £10

Collagen: it’s something we begin to lose as we get older, which contributes to a loss of elasticity and hence, skin sagging and the ageing process overall. And while it is still disputed whether taking collagen supplements and applying products with the ingredient in can make up for the loss of natural collagen, it can’t hurt to try!

Our obsession with collagen-based skincare certainly seems to be going nowhere, as proven by the fact that Boots has experienced a 1570% rise in searches for collagen recently. So it makes sense that they’ve recently launched their own-brand collagen products, which luckily for us are all under a tenner right now.

Boots

Collagen Youth Activating Serum, £10, Boots

Boots’ new offering is available for all skin types, and is the latest in a series of prominent ingredient-led skincare ranges we’ve seen as of late. There are four products in the range, all of which promise to help improve the feeling of firmness and elasticity for softer and more youthful looking skin.

Collagen Youth Activating Night Cream, £10, Boots

Usually £12 each, Boots is currently offering each of the four products for just £10 each, meaning it’s worth snapping up the collection now rather than waiting. The curated line is small but perfectly formed, complete with a serum, eye cream, day cream (with SPF 30), and night cream. In short, you’re covered on all bases here.

Speaking about collagen as a core ingredient, Dr Ellie Bradley, Scientific Skincare Credentialing Manager at Boots explained: ‘Collagen is a protein naturally found in the skin that contributes to its strength and firmness. Applying it to the skin is thought to boost natural collagen production by triggering the body to increase its collages synthesis, enabling skin to repair itself. The end result is plumper and smoother skin — it also helps with the appearance of wrinkles.’

All sounds good to us! And at £40 for the entire Boots collagen skincare range, the question is, can you really afford not to try it?
