Cornwall isn’t short of beautiful accommodation. But one luxury country house seems to have out shined not only its neighbouring competition but hotels across the nation after being named one of the best UK hotels of the year by The Good Hotel Guide 2019.

The Nare, which is located high above Carne Beach in the gorgeous Roseland Peninsula village of Veryan, was crowned Best Seaside Hotel by the travel experts. With 37 bedrooms, the spacious property oozes luxury and was among 10 winners of the annual Cesar Awards – in other words, the Oscars of the hotel business.
Describing The Nare, The Good Hotel Guide 2019 wrote: ‘With its spa, its pools, balconies and sub-tropical gardens overlooking sandy Carne Beach, Toby Ashworth’s hotel is the perfect mix of family-friendliness and luxury. Top marks for Cornish cream teas, local seafood, a talented new chef, smiling staff and traditional values.’
Sounds like the perfect seaside stay.

Owned by Toby Ashworth (and previously by his grandmother), The Nare has been a popular choice for over 30 years. It is the AA’s highest-rated four-star hotel in Cornwall and offers everything from picturesque views and five-course menus with silver service, to art and painting tuition for guests.
Other winners included The Salutation in Sandwich which won most Romantic Hotel of the Year and Tudor Farmhouse in Clearwell which was awarded best Country House Hotel of the Year.
