Home bar accessories: Save £113 with Asda’s bar shelf

The rise of the home bar has been one of the very few silver linings of the pandemic, with lockdowns and curbs on socialising encouraging people to rethink their living space with a more playful approach.

Now, as thankfully restrictions look set to be a thing of the past, we’re still very much up for the home bar situation, especially with a party-filled summer on the way. Whether you love to host friends at yours, or just having a bit of a knees-up with the family, there are plenty of interiors buys to make your at-home pub look fabulous.

Bar shelf, £138, Rockett St George

Take, for example, this showstopping Rockett St George mirrored bar shelf. Allowing you to curate the ultimate cocktail corner, it has a semi-circular mirror above a shelf for your favourite tipples, plus two hanging wine glass racks at the bottom. It’s a great option if you want a bar in your home but don’t have much room, and we particularly love the antique gold finish.

The bar shelf is, however, an investment item, costing £138. If you want a cheaper version, then look no further than George at Asda, which has conjured up a similar looking interiors buy for just £25.

Bar shelf, £25, George at Asda

The Asda version lacks some of the chic art deco styling details of the Rockett St George shelf, and the colour is slightly less opulent, but it still looks much more expensive than its bargain price tag, and provides storage for both bottles and glasses.
