We firmly believe that, this year more than ever, we deserve to fully treat ourselves this Easter. And that can only mean one thing: munching as many Easter eggs as humanly possible.
We’ve scoured high and low to find only the very best chocolate treats for the Easter bunny to deliver this year. We’ve made sure to include options to cater to all dietary requirements – you’ll find some delicious vegan options below – as well as those chocolatiers who are committed to sustainability, whether that’s being palm oil-free and Fairtrade (such as Divine) or using 100 per cent recyclable and plastic-free packaging (such as Love Cocoa).
Even the supermarkets are on a mission to reduce unnecessary packaging on their Easter eggs. Waitrose has almost halved the amount of single-use plastic on all its own-brand Easter eggs and confectionary, and have also used 18 per cent less card, meaning a quarter less packaging overall for their Easter range. Plus, much of the Easter egg packaging will also be made from recycled materials.
Over at Aldi, they’re updating six of their Easter egg lines to make them 100 per cent plastic-free and have introduced a flat-bottomed geometric egg, so that its shape doesn’t require a concave plastic insert to support it. Clever, eh?
Here’s our edit of the best Easter eggs for 2021…
