Benefit’s new primer is a dream for dehydrated skin

Beloved beauty brand Benefit is known for a set of core products that have always sold well. From its versatile Benetint cheek and lip splash of colour to the uber-popular They’re Real mascara, the line is full of icons that fly off the shelves year after year.

Another one of its well-known hero products is the Porefessional primer, which is the top selling primer in the UK. So it comes as no real surprise that the brand have (finally) made the most of this success and released a new version to cater to a different skin type.

Yep, Benefit is set to launch a hydrating version of its number one primer, aptly named the Porefessional Hydrate Primer. So what exactly sets it apart from the original, and why should you give it a go?Porefessional Hydrate Primer

Well, as its name suggests, the new formula promises to leave skin feeling a little more hydrated than the original, making it ideal for dry skin types. Benefit’s original Porefessional Primer can feel a little drying on skin due to its slightly powdery, mattifying texture, so this new edition opens up the product to a whole new demographic.

The hydrating new addition will offer the same ‘blurring’ effect that its older sister did, and promises to soften out everything from blemishes to fine lines, as well as aiding discolouration. It is similarly lightly tinted, but dissolves in seamlessly, and works on any skin tone.

If this all sounds appealing to you, the good news is you don’t have too long to wait to get your hands on it. The Porefessional Hydrate Primer will cost £29, and is set to launch on 26 December (perfect for your Boxing Day shop). It’s exclusive at John Lewis for the time being.

If it’s anything like the original, Benefit’s new hydrating formula will surely become an instant hit, so make sure you get your hands on it ASAP.
